Community Health Workers: Draft Report
This draft report includes an evidence review and policy analysis to support CEPAC deliberations. Building upon initial research conducted by AHRQ, the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and various state-based initiatives, the goals of this review are to 1) document the evolution of community health worker (CHW) programs within New England as well as nationally; 2) summarize the evidence on CHW program impact on health outcomes and costs and identify program components associated with success; 3) examine the potential budgetary impact of implementing CHW programs; and 4) provide insights from policy experts on potential best practices in CHW implementation.View All Materials on this Topic or Go Back to View More Materials
