Dr. Brian O’Sullivan is Professor of Pediatrics at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. Dr. O’Sullivan attended Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School before getting his training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. From 1990-2015 he was at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, where he was Professor of Pediatrics, Cystic Fibrosis Center Director, and Associate Vice-Provost for Research. He spent 15 years as Chair of the Committee for Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) at UMass. Dr. O’Sullivan has published extensively on CF-related issues with an emphasis on inflammation in CF and newborn screening issues. In 2011, he completed a Fellowship in Medical Ethics at the Harvard School of Public Health and has co-authored several papers on sustainability of high cost therapies for orphan diseases.
