Reem Mustafa is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, and the Director of Outcomes and Implementation Research at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Mustafa was the Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Education, and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Biomedical and Health Informatics at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She attended medical school at Jordan University, and did her residency at Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine, State University or New York at Buffalo. Her medical interests include shared decision making considering patients values and preferences based on the best available evidence. Her research interests include the application of principles of evidence-based medicine in clinical decision-making and guidelines development.
