Richard F. Seiden is a retired partner and health care business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP in the Los Angeles office. His practice focused on all aspects of health care business counseling for health care providers, including formation of business entities, general business and financing matters, and mergers and acquisitions. He was a member of the Health Care Industry Team and Transactional & Securities and Health Care Finance Practices.
Mr. Seiden is a former member of the firm’s Management Committee, and previously served as the managing partner of the firm’s California offices. Prior to joining Foley & Lardner, Mr. Seiden served as the Board Chair and Managing Member of Weissburg and Aronson, Inc. In 2003, upon completion of ten years as a manager in law firms, Mr. Seiden joined the Board of Directors of the National Psoriasis Foundation and has since served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. As a result of his advocacy before congressional health care committees, he was invited to serve a three-year term as a patient representative on the Advisory Council to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). Mr. Seiden also serves as Vice Chair of the Public Advisory Board of the American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) and has published an article on a Patient’s Perspective on Joint Replacement Surgery.
