Stacey L. Brown, PhD

Dr. Stacey Brown is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Health Care at University of Connecticut Health. She also serves as Director of the Applied Practice Experience for graduate public health students and Director of Community Based Education. In these roles, Dr. Brown works with students to develop strategies to address the impact of social, economic, political and environmental influences on health. Dr. Brown is a sociologist that specializes in the study of social inequalities, multicultural health, cultural competency, and community health. She also serves on several local and regional boards for non-profit agencies serving diverse communities. Dr. Brown received her BS from the University of Dayton University, MA from the University of Connecticut and her PhD from Kent State University.
