Dr. Falck-Ytter’s research interest focuses on clinical trials as well as research methodology and evidence translation.  He has previously held appointments as Associate Director at the German Cochrane Center and Institute for Biostatistics as the University of Freiburg, Germany, focusing on teaching systematic review methodology to Cochrane reviewers. He is a long-term member of the GRADE working group and has been a GRADE methodology consultant to national and international organizations such as the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the National Institute for Clinical Excellence in the UK (NICE), the US and European Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC and ECDC), the World Health Organization, U.S. Gastroenterology societies, American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), and Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). Dr. Falck-Ytter is a founding member of the U.S. GRADE Network and the Evidence Foundation.
